Irina Janakievska is a London-based Macedonian-British writer and recipe developer. She has contributed to the Guardian, Foodnetwork US, Whetstone Magazine and Mediterranean Lifestyle magazine, and The Balkan Kitchen was shortlisted for the Jane Grigson Trust Award in 2023. Irina Janakievska was born in North Macedonia, grew up in Kuwait and now lives in the UK. A consultant solicitor, Irina left the corporate world and completed the Essential Cooking Certificate at Leiths before working as a recipe developer in the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen.
